Building on the best: The RTC-80110 Series II
The 80110 features a full power boom fabricated from ultra-high-strength steel and formed in Link-Belt's own facility. The main boom is 150 feet (45.7 m) long and incorporates Teflon wear pucks to eliminate boom grease. Fly options include both two- and three-piece lattice bi-folds, 31–55 feet (9.4–16.7 m) long, for a maximum tip height of 250 feet (76.2 m). All flies manually offset to 2, 15, 30, and 45 degrees. An available 10-foot (3-m) heavy-lift fly—integral to one of the fly options—swings and pins into place. It has over 25 tons (22.6 mt) of capacity and lift procedures for two-load-line picks. Fly options include a 31–55-foot (9.4–16.7-m), three-piece bi-fold lattice fly and a 10-foot (3-m) heavy-lift fly. The heavy-lift fly swings and pins into place and is integral to one of the on-board fly options. It has over 20 tons (18.1 mt) of capacity and lift procedures for two-load-line picks. All flies offset to 2, 15, 30, and 45 degrees. This new RT also features the new Link-Belt Pulse total crane operating system. Far more than just a rated capacity limiter (RCL), Link-Belt Pulse includes a boom extend mode controller (EMC), self-diagnostic capabilities, fine inching, and continuous monitoring of multiple crane functions and conditions. And most importantly, it's an in-house, Link-Belt design. It transports in two loads with the main load under 94,000 pounds (42 637.7 kg) including boom, both winches, three-piece fly, and tires attached. On a trailer, without the counterweights and outrigger boxes, it's less than 14 feet (4.3 m) high and 10 feet (3 m) wide. The 80110 can be disassembled and ready for transport in less than one hour with no helper crane. Not only is this crane easy to transport, it's easy to maneuver on the job site. Of course, the RTC-80110 Series II has the same 6x6x6 hydrostatic drive of the proven 80100. This drive has variable speed piston pumps supplying hydraulic power to all six drive motors for outstanding creep control. This drive system, along with smaller tires, gives an overall height of only 12 feet, 2.5 inches (3.72 m) and a turn radius of 21 feet (6.4 m) for the 26-foot (7.92-m) long carrier. A switch in the cab controls the four independent steering modes: two-wheel front, four-wheel rear, six-wheel, and crab. With a 45.3-ton (41-mt) pick and carry capacity, long reach, low height, and incredible gradeability, the 80110 is an ideal solution for industrial sites. The 80110's tilting upper cab is a first for a Link-Belt RT. For high-angle lifts, it can tilt up to 20 degrees. A swing-up roof window with windshield wiper and washer, engine-dependent warm water cab heating, a sun screen, cup holder, and a five-way-adjustable seat with headrest ensure a comfortable work environment. The RTC-80100 Series II and RTC-80130 Series II, with nearly 300 units working worldwide, prove that the three-axle concept on a large capacity rough terrain crane is a superior solution. Building on this success, the RTC-80110 Series II is assured of its rightful place in the market. Other stand out features of the RTC-80110 Series II:
