Al Palmer retires as district service representative, southeastern United StatesLexington, KY (December 19, 2011)—Al Palmer will retire from Link-Belt Construction Equipment Co. as district service representative for the southeastern United States effective December 31, 2011. Troy Krumm, Manager Field Service made the announcement at Link-Belt's headquarters in Lexington, Kentucky, USA. Palmer retires after 40 years with Link-Belt. He started with the company in Cedar Rapids, Iowa, and worked at Link-Belt's Bowling Green, Kentucky, facility before those locations closed. In 1979, he started in his current position after moving to the New Orleans area where he has been ever since. "Al's knowledge of our product line is unsurpassed. He has distinguished himself as one of the foremost authorities on Link-Belt crawler cranes," said Krumm. "Al was instrumental in setting Link-Belt apart as an industry leader in customer service and satisfaction."
